Slender Man is a a free indie first person horror game with no weapons and no fighting. The game was created by Parsec Productions where your only goal is to find 8 pages or manuscripts about the Slender Man, a paranormal creature that resembles a tall, thin man with elongated arms dressed in a black suit with a featureless, pale white face.
Each page is a message or drawing concerning Slender Man, who pursues the player through the map. Each time the player collects a page (or if the player fails to collect a page after a certain period of time) Slender Man’s pursuit of the player becomes more urgent.
When the player catches a glimpse of Slender Man at close range, a startling music sting is played which allows the player to sprint for a short period of time. Unlike jogging, sprinting will decrease the maximum amount of stamina the player has. When looking at Slender Man the screen becomes distorted with static, and if the player looks at him for too long the screen will fade to static and Slender Man’s pale white, featureless face appears on the screen as the game ends. Slender Man can also turn the player around when they are not looking at him if he gets too close, also ending the game in the same manner.
At any time the Slender Man may appear. He does not attack you, but looking at him will drive you insane. Look long enough and your sanity meter will drain to nothing, ending the game. Oh and everything is pitch black, illuminated only by a weak torch. It’s a simple premise but one that rapidly becomes incredibly tense and scary, and the fact that the Slender Man himself is so damn creepy makes it even worse.
If you want to check out Slender Man more, you can get it from the official website , or check out the mirror on Reddit. If you’ve never heard of the Slender Man before, you’re lucky, but if you fancy creeping yourself out, his TV Tropes page is a good place to start.
